To Mix or Not to Mix?
It might not be obvious to the casual observer, but I'm not actually gregarious. At a large party I'd rather grab my plastic plate of food and head to the corner. I'd prefer 2 good conversations over 15 high five chats that don't go anywhere. So about 2 years ago when we first started having regular mixers I had some reservations. Thankfully our times of tech camaraderie over beer and local eats has been thoroughly enjoyable. Many times I've been able to grab a few old or new friends and actually talk, actually further our friendship. While large enough where you could just blend into the crowd, I've found our mixers to be a really enjoyable time. That is, as long as you avoid these top 5 mixer faux pas.

Our May Mixer and Our Golden Kraut and Silvery Bean Winners
Our May Interactive Mixer was a great time -- amazing weather and another fantastic crowd. Nashville interactive events have been heating up as the weather gets warmer, so kudos to those faces who keep popping up at all these events. We love to see Nashville building such a strong, committed community of interactive experts; our mixers are designed to play a small part of that. And in the 5 months since we've started, we've met so many amazing people and learned so much from our beer and cupcake fueled conversations.
