1. What’s in your trapper keeper these days?

Macbook Air

Grado SR225i Headphones

2. What are your inspirations?
I think most of my inspiration comes from the web. I spend a lot of time on Dribbble keeping up with current trends and getting an idea for what’s next. A great source for what I have been inspired by would be my likes on Dribbble check them out here.

3. When designing, you feel____?
I feel challenged. Every time I start a design it gives me the ability to try something new. I get to chance to experiment with new design trends and expand my skills.

4. What’s your favorite color?
About 4 different shades of grey. I would give you the hex values but they are a trade secret. Seriously I think grey is pretty great.

5. How do you continue to build your design ‘tool belt’?
Most of my design resources come from other creatives. I get a lot from my newsreader and from other designers on twitter.

6. Do you have any advice to future designers?
Work with others. Learn from those with more experience. Don’t tell your parents I said this, but if you go to school to become a web designer you might not get everything it takes to be successful. I feel like if could have done it over again I would have took all the money I spent on school and I would have went to all the big design conferences and interned at a different agency every 6 months.
