Instagram has changed the way people view multimedia in this generation. This handy technology has made it possible for the everyday person to quickly alter and edit their photos without any photo editing experience. With twenty different filters, users can choose how they want their photos to look, and then use the power of social media to broadcast them.
In fact, 1.8 million Instagram photos were shared in April 2012. Compare that with the fact that only 860,000 photos were shared via the service just two months earlier, in February 2012. The rapid growth of Instagram goes to show that people find it incredibly easy to use, and love the features it offers. No other smartphone photo apps come close to the success that Instagram has achieved.

I think Instagram will be around for a long time, and it looks like Facebook thought so too, since they recently bought Instagram for $1 billion!
