The Upper Room Launches
I don’t know
about you, but any organization (or person for that matter) that’s more than 75 years old, automatically earns our respect.
So when The Upper Room–a part of The Methodist Church General Board of Discipleship–called us to help manage their content, we immediately jumped at the chance.
The Upper Room produces resources for Christian education and the exploration of faith. They needed all of the information about their publications and programs distilled into something that their visitors can easily understand and act upon.
So we set out to created a custom Content Management System that would allow them to update all of their sites in one central location. Ruby on Rails helped us to accomplish this which now serves content to more than a half million visitors each month. Mission accomplished!
Not only is The Upper Room (http://www.upperroom.org/) up and running, but so are these sites:
Daily Devotional (http://devotional.upperroom.org/)
The Prayer Center (http://prayer-center.upperroom.org/)
El Aposento Alto (http://elaposentoalto.upperroom.org/es)
Emmaus (http://emmaus.upperroom.org/)
Chrysalis (http://chrysalis.upperroom.org/)
Academy (http://academy.upperroom.org/)
And soon to be…..Companions in Christ
A special thanks goes out to our friends at the group formerly known as Cabedge for providing the strategy and design for these beautiful sites.
