Wow, sounds like so many of

Wow, sounds like so many of you have had a bad experience with this deal. I must have gotten to the heated mouse guy first, because I did order one and received it in a timely manner. It works great!! I actually use it all year long. The air conditioning in the summer makes my hand cold too. At first I had to get a different mouse pad so it would work better. I hope you all do get the heated mouse or somebody else figures out how to make it. I really love having it! Good luck.

well, I tend to doubt that

well, I tend to doubt that it is a scam, what you have is one guy rewiring mice
one at a time. I bought for my wife almost 2 years ago and it still works flawlessly. it did however take a long time to get here. what I'd really like is the schematic and parts needed to build one for myself. I think the thing is great, it's too bad that a major manufacturer hasn't caught on to it.
I think the big thing is the limited market. it's too bad really, as it's only needed part of the year. the air-cooled part is interesting but mostly just useless.

Very interesting. I was just

Very interesting. I was just going to cover a mouse in some fleece to help keep the mouse hand warm. I didn't expect to see a product like this.

I too which I came to this

I too which I came to this site to learn about Mr. Rudy. What a scammer he is!!! My good friend wanted a heated mouse for Christmas so I ordered it and paid for it through Paypal. I immediately contacted Rudy to let him know that I purchased one and when could he send it as I was wanting it before Christmas. He contacted me back and said that I will receive it by Christmas even if he has too overnight ship it to me. I ended up going on vacation Christmas Eve and came back after New Year's and there was still no Heated Mouse. I contacted him back and he didn't respond so I called the number on the Heated Mouse's website and no response. I continued to e-mail him and call the number saying that he was frauding me. He finally contacted me back several weeks later and said that he was behind schedule and that to e-mail him back with my address for a refund. I attempted to e-mail him back but the e-mail bounced right back to me. I contacted the phone number and left my address info on the voice mail. I waited over a week and still didn't hear back from him nor received the heated mouse. I contacted Paypal and because it is over there 45 day dispute period they couldn't help me. I would suggest for those that didn't receive your mouse yet or returned it due to it being faulty to contact your Credit Card company and put in a dispute with them. It is now March 24, 2006 and still no Heated Mouse. My question is, how does this website still exist if he scammed and is still scamming people?

Sounds like we all have been

Sounds like we all have been had. I purchased one in November and didn’t receive it until a month or so later and only after numerous emails. The heating element was faulty and played in less than a few weeks. I emailed and called Rudy numerous times and he finally replied on 2.06.06 and he told me to send it to:
Rudy Hinojosa
231 Bowstring Dr.
Sedona AZ 86336

So I sent it to him via UPS so I could track it. It made it there but he never sent a new one. Well, I recently tried to email Rudy with the both known email address that I had for him (sales@theheatedmoused.com;rudy@lrms.com), both emails failed. So I thought that I would go to www.theheatedmouse.com and what do you know the website is down.

Man, I wish I would have done a little more research on these guys. Here is what I do know.
I was able to pull up and old website from www.archive.org and found out that the heated mouse is patented by Laguna Systems. So I googled Laguna Systems and found that they are partners with Library Resoruce Management Systems (www.lrms.com). Sounds familiar right? Well, in the “contact us” portion of the website I found this: Vice President, Director of Information Technology: Rudy Hinojosa rhinojosa@lrms.com, Wholly Crap! I thought this guy is still out doing a web based business.

I don’t what more I could do so I have posted a complaint on Troubleshooter.com (http://troubleshooter.com/data/helpcenter.htm). I don’t know if you guys know about Tom Martino but, he is pretty good about getting results. If you have time maybe send him an email so he knows that I’m not the only one out there that has been taken.

Same here. Ordered for my

Same here. Ordered for my wife for Xmas. Never received and Paypal could not recover payment. I sent Rudy numerous emails which he read (I got read receipts) but he never replied to any of them. He is a common thief.

I too have had a bad

I too have had a bad experience with this guy. I actually got my mouse, but like KeKo above, it was faulty. I contacted Rodolfo and he told me to send it back (at my own cost, I might add). I did this in good faith and then waited a further month for the replacement to arrive. It never did.
Like the rest of you, I've paid $61.99 (£40) plus an extra £3 for the return postage and have nothing out of it. Paypal won't do anything as it's been over 45 days since I ordered the product. Fat lot of good they are! Rodolfo doesn't answer my e-mails and I can only assume he won't give me a refund.
DO NOT buy from this guy!

I write 20 e-mails aprox. to rudy for return my money, but he says that the unique option is return de mouse first, I pay 7€ for return the mouse, wait 2 weeks, and more and more e-mails... rudy say me that they have the money, but never return me...

[...] Hearing about someone

[...] Hearing about someone else’s recent troubles with a sale through PayPal reminded me of my problem, so I once again Googled to see if anyone has reported problems similar to mine. I was surprised to find new comments on one of the blog articles I’d seen last year, in which other shafted customers were complaining about non-delivery of their heated mice. Most surprising, however, was a comment allegedly from the fellow who was actually selling the mouse: Ladies and Gentleman. I am Rudy Hinojosa, creator of the heated mouse. I want to publicly express my apologies for not being able to process your orders in a timely fashion. My manufacturer deal did not go through. I’m being forced to make them once again by hand. This is so frustrating. I have about 60 back orders in queue. I have stopped new orders alltogether. I will be providing refunds for those who request it. My contact information is still the same. I’m working overtime to get these orders out. “Rudy” neglects to mention why he never replied to any of his customers’ e-mails or phone calls; I’m not optimistic that I’ll actually get a response if I try to contact him about a refund. But I suppose it won’t hurt to try. Stay tuned. [...]

[...] We at CentreSource have noted a few posts about problems when ordering the heated mouse (read original post). We have had no real experience with this company and saw the main issue was that you couldn’t get anyone at the company to return emails/phone calls. So we have done a little research for you and here is the information we found on the owner of the domain name. We hope it will help in actually contacting him [...]

"theheatedmouse.com" is a scam.
When you order a heated mouse off the website "theheatedmouse.com" the payment is collected through "PayPal" but nothing is sent. I tried repeatedly to contact them but never got a reply by Email or Phone. I am surprised "PayPal" allows this. The contact name was Rudolfo Hinojoso
